On August 11, 2025, Luoyang Yunchuan Co., Ltd. (referred to as YCM) held a simple dispatching ceremony at its Jingjin Plant to celebrate the cumulative shipment of its self-developed high-speed wind turbine couplings exceeding 5,000 sets, marking an important milestone in the company's history. This achievement represents a significant step forward in the localization of high-speed couplings, a core component of China's wind power industry, and injects new impetus into the global wind power industry's green transformation. Standing at the new starting point of over 5,000 units, YCM will take technological breakthroughs as the driving force, aim for product reliability, focus on internal management and external market expansion, and strive for a brighter future through hard working. 

I. From "Following" to "Leading": Technological Breakthroughs Redefine Industry Landscape 

As one of the core components of wind turbines, high-speed couplings have long been monopolized by foreign companies such as KTR and Centa. YCM has responded to the national trend of supporting the localization of imported parts and achieving independent control of core components. From the project initiation in 2016 to the first delivery in 2020, and from breaking through of 1,000 units in 2023 to now surpassing the 5,000-unit mark, YCM has witnessed the rise of China's wind power industry chain with a series of accelerating figures.

YCM has carried out the research and development of high-speed couplings with a rigorous attitude, established a R&D team, built and continuously improved testing facilities, maintained in-depth communication with customers, and adopted an open cooperation approach to accurately understand customer needs and develop highly reliable high-speed couplings for wind power, adapting to the rapid iteration and large-scale development trends of the wind power industry. Eventually, it has formed a product designing and manufacturing system that is reliable in quality and quick in response. Currently, the company holds 46 patents and has complete testing capabilities at the individual parts and the whole componentlevels as well as a complete standardized system, ensuring the quality and reliability of its products. Today, YCM has formed a full range of product series covering 1.5MW to 15MW models with a slippage torque up to 180KNm, becoming one of the top domestic enterprises capable of manufacturing large-megawatt couplings. 

II. Acceleration of Localization: From "Zero Breakthrough" to "Qualitative Leap" 

In 2020, a leading domestic wind power enterprise promoted the localization of components. YCM successfully signed a contract with its outstanding technical strength, kicking off the large-scale application of couplings in local markets.

The list of YCM's partners has rapidly expanded: it has joined hands with XJ Wind Power, embraced Sany Renewable Energy, provided couplings for CRRC Wind Power, integrated into Windey, cooperated with DEC, entered Shanghai Electric, and engaged with Goldwind and Envision, and so on The market share of YCM's high-speed couplings has steadily increased and it has become an important participant in China's wind power development.

In just three years, the output value of its coupling products has soared from less than 10 million CNY in 2022 to 50 million CNY in 2024, accounting for over 60% of the company's turnover. It is expected that the total output value will exceed 70 million yuan in 2025.

YCM's high-speed couplings have become the preferred brand for domestic wind turbine manufacturers to replace imported products. Localization not only reduces the procurement costs but also promotes the independent control of the industrial supply chain. Up to now, YCM's couplings have covered more than 20 provinces in China, with a cumulative installed capacity of over 10 gigawatts, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 15 million tons annually. 

III. Layout the Global Market: From "Deeply Cultivating the Domestic Market" to "Two Wings Flying Home and Abroad" 

Domestic order fulfillment is the foundation, and the global market is the goal. After establishing a firm foothold in the domestic market, while steadily developing the domestic market, YCM has accelerated the expansion of its international territory, delved deeply into the international market, and collaborated with companies such as Germany's Nordex, Siemens Gamesa, and Senvion India. After more than two years of efforts, in 2024, it completed the delivery of prototypes to Nordex and Senvion. In April 2025, the Nordex 5XMW coupling was successfully tested in Germany and officially entered into mass production, marking a "zero breakthrough" in the application of China made couplings in developed industrial countries. Currently, the company continues to promote cooperation with foreign customers, continuously expanding the range of cooperative products, and is preparing for a 50% delivery share by 2026. While cooperating with foreign customers, we are planning to establish a global service network. Through cooperation with international industrial service company, we ensure that we can reach any site within 48 hours. 

From obscurity to industry benchmark, YCM has spent seven years writing a touching story of key component development. The breakthrough of 5,000 sets is not merely an accumulation of figures, but a demonstration of technological confidence and industrial ambition.
